During its foundation the Thracians called it Larisa. Since XIV c. it carries its current name – Saint Vlas, patron of the traders. The Turks called it Monastery or Kyuchuk Monastery because of its location: Saint Vlas was surrounded by 4 monasteries. In its current look it one would easily recognize the monastery style in many buildings. Here you can enjoy also the unique combination of beautiful nature, sandy beaches and mountain fresh air.
