One of  the most interesting resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline, gathering in one place beautiful nature, golden sand beaches, historical sites and ancient architectural style – that is Nessebar. Founded 3200 years ago, it is one of the most ancient towns in Europe.  Nessebar was known in the past as Messambria and it was named that way after its founder –Mena. The fort was built by the Thracians VII century B.C.

In 812 the Bulgarian Khan Krum conquers the town. During the reign of Ivan Alexander many churches were built, thus turning Nessebar into the town with most churches in the world (per capita).
The authentic look of the town creates a unique atmosphere for its visitors. The Old town (the Ancient Nessebar) has been aн architectural – historical reserve since 1956. Since 1983 it is a UNESCO protected monument.
